Happy Graduates!
Bunker

"Bunker 'tweaked' his knee this summer. We ended up going to the Twin Cities Animal Rehab Clinic in Burnsville and working with Dr. Julia and Jenny. They ROCK!!! It turns out that Bunker had tight muscles, and with them being tight, his kneecap wouldn't move properly. Bunker got to do some rehab, including the underwater treadmill. Bunker did indeed make a speedy recovery and is now back to work!!"

Cami

"My agility dog, Cami, tore the ligaments in her toe. Rest and anti-inflammatory drugs took care of the immediate pain and swelling, but I knew Cami would need the best care available to ensure that she could continue her competitive agility career. Fortunately, Dr. Tomlinson had just opened TC Rehab. A course of ultrasound therapy and physical therapy helped the ligament heal and regain strength. Cami is on the way to a full recovery and continues to go to TC Rehab for laser therapy to help with pain and promote continued healing. Thanks to the friendly and caring atmosphere, Cami loves her "vet visits" and always checks out the toys in the waiting room. Thanks to Dr. Tomlinson and Jenny, I have the support I need to keep Cami on the road to recovery."

Gunnar
"Just prior to our Nationals, my Samoyed, Gunnar, injured his right wrist and was quite lame. After several weeks of crate rest, he hadn't improved. Fortunately for us, I was referred to Twin Cities Animal Rehabilitation. After a few weeks of therapy, he appeared totally recovered. He not only won his Working Dog Conformation class but placed first in his weight division in weight pull. If it weren't for the expert care he received from Dr. Tomlinson, I doubt he would have been able to compete."

Lily
"Our long-haired Dachsund, Lily, was diagnosed in mid-October, 2007, with intervertebral disc disease. Her movement was restricted and painful. She had minimal interest in her toys and sometimes even refused a treat. We were distraught, wondering if we would have to put her to sleep.
Our veterinarian recommended two methods of treatment. One was to kennel her for one month and the other was to explore the programs at the Twin Cities Animal Rehabilitation Clinic. We chose the Clinic.
Lily's rehabilitation appointments helped immediately. Before Christmas, she was moving freely and even wanted to play tug-o-war. We continued with a strength and conditioning program. Today, Lily is overall much stronger; she plays with her toys regularly and is back to her happy, healthy self. Dr. Tomlinson and Jenny have provided Lily with a healthy quality of life."

Brody

I wanted to write to thank you for all of your help with Brody. When we started with the rehab, Brody seemed to be favoring one of his rear legs. After X-rays were taken at our vet's office, we found out his right hip bone had a pre-existing fracture (he was a rescue dog about one year old). After consulting with our vet, she was convinced we would have to do a FHO surgery on his hip. We talked to the surgeon that looked at his X-rays and he referred us to Twin Cities Animal Rehab to see if we could avoid hip surgery. After visiting with the staff there on our initial consultation, we were happy to hear that there was a good possibility that Brody could avoid any surgery with proper rehab. After about six weeks of rehab twice a week, he has become a healthy black lab with no problems using that hip. |
